Term of office of the members of the Supervisory Board

As a rule the term of office of Supervisory Board members is four years. It is set forth in the Statutes of Allianz SE, whereby members of the Supervisory Board shall be appointed for a period until the close of the General Meeting which resolves on the ratification of actions in respect of the third financial year following the beginning of the term of office. The financial year in which the term of office begins does not count towards this period. Reappointments are permissible.
Staggered Board
With the Supervisory Board elections on May 4, 2022, a staggered board with different terms of office was introduced. This means that the Board will be renewed in staggered elections in the future and no longer by way of a block election in which all candidates stand for election at the same time. The staggered terms of office allow the company to react flexibly to changing requirements regarding the competences of the members of the Supervisory Board.
